Four Generations. One Story.

Marshall's Jewelers has called the Milford and Bellingham area home since 1954. Founded in Milford by Arnold and Gertrude, carried forward by Ron and Rita, and now led by Richard and Ann in Bellingham since 2010, this is a store built by a family that genuinely loves fine jewelry and the people they serve.

How It All Started

Richard started working in the family's Milford store at seven years old, first by pushing a broom. By ten, his grandfather Arnold was teaching him to engrave. That hands-on, generation-to-generation education has no equivalent in a textbook. It is the foundation of 40-plus years in the retail jewelry business, and it shows in every conversation you have with him. In 2010, Richard and Ann moved the store to Bellingham, continuing the same tradition of personal service and in-house craftsmanship the family has built since 1954.

Trained at the Highest Level

In the mid-1980s, Richard relocated to Santa Monica for a year to train at the Gemological Institute of America headquarters. He earned his Graduate Gemologist degree, a Degree in Colored Stone Grading, and a Degree in Pearl Grading, three of the most respected credentials in fine jewelry. He also met the degree requirements of both the American Gem Society and the Independent Jewelers Organization. His traditional degrees in Finance and Investments from Babson College bring a dimension that is genuinely rare: gemological expertise, financial perspective, and a lifetime of hands-on experience all in one person.

Richard and Ann love custom design for life's most meaningful occasions. They believe the relationship between a jeweler and a customer is built on trust, knowledge, and a shared sensitivity to what the occasion actually means. Whether you are marking an engagement, an anniversary, a milestone birthday, or the redesign of something inherited, Richard and Ann bring the same commitment and personal design flair to every project. Richard, Ann, and the team are here Tuesday through Saturday at 191 Mechanic Street, Suite 8 in Bellingham. No pressure, no rush. Just good people who love jewelry and have been serving this community for 72 years.
